Susanna Reid\u2019s early life and rise\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n
As the youngest of three children, Susanna was born in Croydon, South London in 1970.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
She was educated at the independent Croham Hurst School, followed by the independent Croydon High School and St Paul\u2019s Girl\u2019s School in London.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
When she was nine years old, her parents separated and divorced.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
Her father was a management consultant, her mother was a nurse.<\/span><\/p>\n
During her teenage years, Susanna appeared as an aspiring actress in the stage production of Agatha Christie\u2019s Spider\u2019s Web and then in The Price on Channel 4.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
When she went to the University of Bristol, Susanna studied Politics and Philosophy and while there, she became the editor of Epigram, the student newspaper.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Susanna has three sons, Sam, 19, Finn, 17, and Jack, 16, with her ex-partner Dominic Cotton.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
She and Dominic were together for 16 years before their split in 2014.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
She went onto date Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish, 56, before splitting in 2019 and reuniting recently.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
The presenter has been vocal about her feelings against marriage.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
During on debate on GMB she said: \u201c<\/span>I’ve never been married, no. And I would just like to say to the children you are not illegitimate – whatever the convention says.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
She said the decision to never marry was a \u201cpersonal choice\u201d.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
Away from her day job, Susanna took part in the 2013 series of Strictly Come Dancing and was paired with Kevin Clifton.<\/p>\n
