Kate Middleton has always been very sporty, having played hockey and netball whilst at school along with her sister Pippa. Emma Raducanu just won the US Open Tennis Championships and was congratulated by most members of the Royal Family. The Duchess, whose love for tennis is well known, wore a sporty attire to play tennis alongside Raducanu.
The Duchess of Cambridge candidly told them they were “amazing”.
She commented saying: “Guys, honestly, congratulations!
“It’s so nice for all of you to be back here in your home country so we can celebrate you in the home of British tennis.”
Judi James, a body language specialist, spoke to Express.co.uk about the relationship between the two national treasures in their own right coming together.
Judi said: “Two of the most memorable smiles in Britain come face-to-face here as royal icon Kate meets tennis icon, Emma.

“Kate is clearly being the one most in awe as she gazes at a permanently relaxed, happy and unfazed-looking Emma with a smile that lets slip she is a massive fan of the tennis star.
“Kate’s animated gesticulation as she chats to all the tennis players and they listen respectfully picks out the fact that she is the royal guest here.
“Although, her body language suggests she is asking questions and seeking their expertise rather than acting like the expert herself.
“When Kate is seen playing tennis herself her blend of non-verbal cues suggest she is somewhere between wanting to play well and really go for the point in her usual competitive way, but also full of modest embarrassment to be playing knock-up with the level of talent of Emma.
“When Kate and Emma sit chatting together there is an air of friendly rapport that appears to have been created by Kate.
“Emma’s pose suggests some shyness and, endearingly, Kate copies it to show mutual rapport and bonding.
“Either Kate is deliberately lowering her status signals to look less royal and more empathetic here or she really is just a little bit over-awed to be in Emma’s company.”
